Another year, another spectacular series of summer show over at Sevenoaks, in Kent! Sevenoaks Town Council kindly sponsored us to provide a series of FREE shows to the lovely locals. We were more than happy to oblige, performing our original adaptation of 'The Wind in the Willows' by Kenneth Grahame.
This week we performed four separate shows taking place over the course of the week, each one at a different location in the town: The Bat & Ball Centre, Pontoise Park, the Greatness Recreation Ground and The Vine Gardens. Three of said performance's were outside, making great use of the town's natural spaces. The perfect backdrop for our story!
As we all know, British Summer Time can be mixed, so we did have one performance in the wind and rain. However, that did not deter a hardy group of determined audience members. Naturally, inspired by their excitement and enthusiasm, we performed our hearts-out for our small but dedicates viewers.
Mr Toad, Ratty, Mole and Mr Badger had a wonderful time on their wacky adventure and they couldn't have done it without some help from our audinces who help play the roles of flowers, the 'cleaning army' and our funky dancers! We couldn't have done it without you!
We would once again like to thank Sevenoaks Town Council for having us entertain their lovely town again. We would also like to thank the audiences who supported us (whatever the weather!) and an extra special thanks to Simon Downing, who is retiring from the Cats Grin Theatre Company after having worked with us for many years.
Don't forget, we also take our 'The Wind in the Willows' show to schools, parties and other community events. If you would like to hire us to perform for you please don't hesitate to get in touch!
