Public Performances 2019

We are excited to be presenting our original adaptations of classic children's stories at the following public venues. Suffused with our customary audience participation, colourful characters and witty wordplay, these productions are suitable for human beings aged for 4 years and over.

Stories on a Sunday

We are thrilled to be presenting 60 minute story telling sessions, EVERY Sunday at The Red Barn Pub/Resturant in Blindley Heath, Surrey. Original adaptions of classic stories told with a theatrical flourish and audience participation a-plenty! Fill your tummies in this lovely, converted 16th century barn, whilst your children fill their imaginations with our stories!

 Dates : Every Sunday!
 Times : 2pm-3pm
 Price : FREE!

Pop Up Shakespeare

Scenes from Shakespeare presented in the beautiful grounds of Polesden Lacey, the National Trust property set in the Surrey Hills. In June 2019 our original adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Deam play will play out on the South Terrace with the magnificent house at Polesden Lacey as our backdrop. This 20 minute junior version of Shakespeare's play will be presented by three performers with a multitude of hats, romantic wrong turns, spirited sprites AND audience participation. Plus we will pop up in the glorious gardens with scenes from two more Shakespeare plays – all done in our very particular way. Fun for the whole family IS assured.

We are delighted to be back at Polesden Lacey for a sixth successive year of Pop Up, with live musical accompaniment provided by the traditional sounds of Perdix.

 Dates : 15th & 22nd June 2019
Times : Pop Up begins at 1.30 pm & will be repeated each afternoon
Price : FREE with your entrance to the grounds

Pop Up Shakespeare is presented in association with Polesden Lacey Shakespeare Ltd, the charitable trust that, for over 50 years, has performed a full Shakespeare production on the open air stage at Polesden.  This Summer, PLS presents Love's Labour's Lost on Saturdays & Sundays, 29th & 30th June, 6th & 7th July.
